Double Celebrations for Jowat
“10 years & new plant in Malaysia”
Jowat recently had a double celebration in Kuala Lumpur to mark the 10th Anniversary of Jowat (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and the Official Opening of Jowat Manufacturing (SEA) Sdn. Bhd.
The new production facilities in Malaysia represent the most modern design within the Jowat group of companies. The design and technology for this plant were developed based on the 90 years of cumulative experience of Jowat in the manufacture of adhesives for the woodworking, paper and packaging, automotive, and other adhesives.
Jowat hosted a luncheon reception and an open house at the companies’ premises located in Taming Jaya Industrial Park, Balakong. The Board of Directors officiated in the symbolic opening of Jowat Manufacturing (SEA) Sdn. Bhd. which was accompanied by traditional Malaysian lion dances and drums. The open house that followed gave the guests the opportunity to visit the production area as well as the R&D and QC laboratory.
The Chairman of the Jowat Shareholder Committee, Mr. Rainhard Kramme, outlined Jowat’s commitment to Jowat’s operations and growth in the region. This was further emphasized by Mr. Ralf Nitschke, Managing Director of Jowat AG, in his official launching address. The new production and laboratory facilities in Kuala Lumpur are set to become the Jowat Centre of Excellence in the Asia Pacific region.
The celebration ended with a grand and lively dinner reception hosted by the Jowat Board of Directors. The day’s celebrations were attended by more than 300 business associates including Directors from Edge-it, Surteco Singapore and Surteco Australia.
